World Class Surfing
Two of the four beaches found within Hacienda Pinilla are Playa Avellanas and Playa Langosta. Both beaches offer year round waves at all tides. With an open swell window that includes swells from the northern hemi as well as southern hemi swells, there are few locations offering more consistent waves than Guanacaste Province. Between December and March, this region experiences a prevailing offshore wind pattern known as the Papagayo Winds. During this time strong offshore winds consistently grace the coast at all hours of the day.

With over 45km of undulating singletrack trails that span the huge private 4500 acre estate, Hacienda Pinilla is the only location in Costa Rica to offer world class waves and quality mountain-biking all in the same place.
